Overview:

The intern will have an opportunity to experience many aspects of practical ministry in a small-church setting.

  • Work in an atmosphere of personal and professional guidance and support
  • Receive training and further development of leadership gifts, clarifying and refining a call to vocational ministry
  • Further develop spiritually and theologically, personally and professionally.
  • Receive real-world ministry experience in all aspects of the small church.

Glendora Friends Church desires to receive practical help and energy during a highly relational season of ministry.

The Pastoral Intern will:

  • Provide support for our pastoral staff.
  • Be an active participant helping lead our Sunday morning service.
  • Assist our KidMin Director putting on a VBS, including working with volunteers.
  • Plan and execute various events for youth, children and families.
  • Participate in discipling through adult small-group experience.
  • Participate in and observe various committees and how they work toward mission.
  • Learn the rich and deep impact a small church can have on local community.

Intern Requirements:

  • Work under the guidance of our current staff which includes Co-Pastor Team, Worship Leader and KidMin Director.
  • Communicate with and receive feedback through weekly meetings and events.
  • Public speaking.
  • Organize and administrate services and events.
  • Attend Sunday Services regularly during the internship.
  • Be an encouraging, supportive, loyal and affirming staff member.
  • Disciplined lifestyle according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-6.
  • Discipline time and faithfully labor to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Time commitment: Average of 10-12 hours per week.

Compensation: $20 /hour

Duration: May, June, July 2026 (flexible to your schedule)
